Leaving the US and moving to France? Bonjour! Bienvenue a la France!
Are you leaving France for the U.S.? Hello and welcome to the United States of America!
As the CEO and founder of Sans-Souci, a relocation and mobility assistance company, AND a dual citizen of both France and the United States, and having lived more than 20+ years in each country, I am your resource for acclimating to France or the U.S. My approach is simple. I am the welcome lady! I work with individual clients who are making the big move across the Atlantic, in either direction, and I work with corporations on a larger scale, providing workshops and individualized attention with each client I service.
In 2002, I moved to the United States with my spouse. (I was born and raised in France.) We were provided a “relocation package,” emphasis on “package.” When I “opened” the package, there were no directions to help me navigate anything in my new surroundings. As a foreigner moving to a country where English was not my first language, I was overwhelmed and intimidated by the necessities required to have our family fully situated and grounded in the U.S. This experience was the catalyst that inspired me to become the CEO/founder of Sans-Souci.
I can empathize with the spouse/partner of the individual who has been transferred because that was me. My husband was off working and acclimating to his new job while I set about trying to make a seamless transition for our family.
20+ years later, I have moved back to France, but am still very connected to the United States. My goal with all of my clients is to be that go to person that can answer the most basic and complicated questions about life in France or the U.S. while, at the same time, sitting down for coffee and offering the human touch and reassurance folks need when settling into a new country. I can help you with navigating the educational system for your kids, the real estate market, doctors, the best place to shop, and, of course, the best restaurants.
I answer the questions you didn’t know you had. I do that by actually walking along side you through each step of the moving process, helping to ease the fear of the unknown and being a sounding board or a source of advice whenever you need it along the way. I am quite the expert at organizing packing and moves, as I have done it more times than I can count. Before I was in the relocation industry, I was in the hospitality industry, and moved around Europe. The world of the relocation expert is just the perfect marriage of hospitality and logistics.
I tailor my services based upon the need of the client or corporate organization for whom I am working. There is a THREE hour minimum on all services. I offer both packages and an al a carte “menu” of sorts, depending upon the needs of my clients. In order to be sure I am providing you with the impeccable service I pride myself on, I require a meeting to go over your needs, expectations, and how I can best assist you. Following the meeting, I will write up a proposal. Once we have agreed upon expectations for both parties, I set to work, helping you make your new home, your home. I look forward to hearing from you! All the best & au revoir!
